Laboratory diagnostics department works within the Nuclear Medicine Ward. It has been founded at the same time as the Hospital and provides the services as follows:
 - biochemical-hematological and  
 - immunological laboratory 
Our Ward employs 9 professionally qualified and licenced workers as follows:
 - 2 biochemists and 
 - 7 laboratory technicians 

All determinations are performed on modern automatic analyzers, and blood sampling is performed by the vacuumtainer system.
 
IMMUNOLOGICAL LABORATORY

Having in mind that our Hospital is known as a regional center fort treating thyroid gland disorders, work of our immunological laboratory is organized in that direction. You can determine a complete so called thyroid panel which includes:
TT3- triiodotironin
TT4 -thyroxine
TSH- thyreostimulating hormone
FT4- free T4
Tg- thyreoglobulin
TgAb- thyreoglobulin antibodies
TPO- microzomal antibodies
TRAB- Tsh antibodies receptor
Apart from that we also determine PTH- parathormone and calcitonine which, along with osteodensitometry, are parameters for diagnosing and monitoring therapy of patients with osteoporosis.
All determinations are performed on automatic immunological analyzers:
- Immulite DPC and
- Elecsys 2010.

BIOCHEMICAL - HEMATOLOGICAL LABORATORIES

Biochemical and hematological analyses, within our laboratory, are determined with  automatic analyzers of high quality as follows:
- Beckman Coulter Act-diff - hematological analyzers and
- Ilab 300 plus - biochemical analyzer.
Hematological analyses mean determination of CBP (complete blood picture with  leucocyte formulae);
Biochemical analyses mean determination of the following parameters:
- glucose
- HbA1C- glucoziled hemoglobin
- cholesterol –total  
- triglycerides
- HDL-cholesterol
- LDL-cholesterol
- arteriosclerosis index
- risk factors
- blirubin-overall
- bilirubin –direct
- AST
- ALT
- ALP

- creatinine
- uric acid
- iron
- calcium- overall  and
- phosphorus
